Announcing my 2020 "Beautiful things" Quilt along!

I'm so excited and proud to present the 2020 Beautiful Things Quilt Along! Join me in making this cheerful, hope-filled quilt of flower gardens and quilting notions featuring the Rainbow Shimmer collection, Alison Glass' Kaleidoscope weave border, and Giucy Giuce's Spectrastatic collection from Andover Fabrics!

The Beautiful Things sampler quilt combines vintage stars and modern applique motifs with my quote, "Beautiful things are made one stitch at a time." In this turmoil-filled year, this design has brightened my space and reminded me to find silver linings wherever I look and to keep stitching, building, and hoping despite what the future may hold. 

How do you join the Quilt Along?

1. Sign up in the form above. This will ensure you receive all email newsletter updates with fabric quantities and blog and video links for the quilt along. 
2. Gather your supplies needed for the quilt before October 13th, 2020 (you'll receive a supply list via email!)
3. Come to my blog every other Tuesday starting October 13th, where I'll give you the FREE, step by step tutorial for that week's block.

Make sure to read all the information in this post so you know what to expect for this quilt along! Once the quilt along has started, each of my posts will be actual tutorials with me making the blocks, so until October 13th, I'll be telling you about supplies and other necessary things to get started :)

Quilt Along Details

• The event will last for 14 weeks, October 13th, 2020 - January 5th, 2020. 
• A new block will post every 2 weeks. Share one block every 2 weeks on Instagram to be eligible for weekly prizes.
• Use the hashtags #beautifulthingsQAL, #madihastings, #flexifuse, and #andoverfabrics to enter and share your blocks. You must post the correct block assigned for the week on Instagram and use the hashtags to be eligible to win prizes. There's also a Facebook group, "Beautiful Things QAL Community" where you can ask questions, show off your blocks, and enter to win prizes.
• The schedule will be as follows:

1. October 13th, 2020: Introduction & Block 1
2. October 27th, 2020: Block 2
3. November 10th, 2020: Block 3
4. November 24th, 2020: Block 4
5. December 8th, 2020: Block 5
6. December 22nd, 2020: Block 6
7. January 5th, 2020: Borders & Finishing
